The teller supervisor is responsible for the managing of day-to-day operations of the teller line.  Supervisory duties will include direct management of all lobby and drive-up operations.  In addition, under the supervision of the retail manager, the teller supervisor will train the retail banking team on operational issues, is knowledgeable of policies and procedures, and makes judgment decisions.  They are responsible for providing a high quality of customer service, cross-selling bank products and services, and balancing each day’s transactions and verifying cash totals.  Other duties include training of new employees, coaching and motivating the staff to work as a cohesive, highly trained and motivated team, completing performance reviews, scheduling staff members and insuring that procedures for operation security, safety and all compliance regulations are being adhered to.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule including week-ends (all branch locations are open on Saturdays)



High School diploma or equivalent

Minimum two to three years of experience in retail banking and/or sales industry

Thorough knowledge of and proficiency in bank products and services, policies and procedures (required within 30 days of starting job plus completion of new accounts training within 90 days of hire)

Interpersonal skills necessary to make a good first impression, relate to and empathize with others while maintaining a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor.

A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact.

Involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature.

Ability to determine customers needs, introduce benefits of bank products, and complete the sale of services to meet these needs.

Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.

Ability to recognize the work flow needs of the office and move to the position to meet those needs.

Must possess excellent computer, reading, mathematical (includes 10-key) and communication (both verbal and written) skills.

Professionalism in appearance, dress and attitude is a must.
